PRANCE

A Purple Celebration of PRINCE

Only Area Show in 2026!

Splitsville’s lead guitarist Tony Waddy started singing and playing Prince songs decades before that sad day in 2016. No one expected to lose Prince so soon. That weekend, friends in the Fell’s Point music community decided to heal with a spontaneous party which became an annual tribute to The Artist for several years: Prance – a group of talented Baltimore musicians throwing down to celebrate Prince. The 10th anniversary of his passing means that it’s time to do it again. Joining Tony (guitar/vocals) are acclaimed Fell’s musicians and Prance alums Gavin Elder (keyboards), Jess McQuay (drums; Girlband, Heath Street Band, Chesapeake Baes), Jay Swanson (guitar; The Mahoney Brothers, The Radio Dials), Paul Krysiak (bass; Splitsville, The Greenberry Woods), and Joe Parson (drums/percussion; The Greenberry Woods).”

JAH WORKS

The GOAT of Baltimore Reggae! We dare you to keep still when these guys are grooving!

Jah Works is a true grassroots success story that emerged from Baltimore’s reggae scene over 30 years ago. This is music made by and for lovers of real, authentic reggae music. Consistently performing hundreds of shows a year worldwide, they have forged their sound in clubs, festivals and on the sun-drenched beaches of Negril.

Their sound is firmly planted in the roots of Jamaican music and culture, encompassing rock steady, reggae, and elements of dancehall and dub. What Jah Works does best is introduce the novice music listener to the fullness of reggae music and culture.

Formed in 1993, the band found their identity while listening to the song “Jah Works” by the classic Jamaican vocal group The Gladiators. Lyrics like “I’m a man of prayer, none of my doings, shall ever go wrong…” and “Jah hear I when I cry” resonated with the members, and so Jah Works was moved to begin writing their own original reggae music.

Starting with “Feast or Famine” in 1994, the band has recorded and released 11
albums to date. Hardcore Jah Works fans are already labeling their latest release “River of Life” (Spring 2026) as their best album yet. Guest artists include Kenyatta Hill (Culture) and Nick Sefakis (Iya Terra), “River of Life” is a lush, horn drenched roots reggae album and another step forward in the group’s evolution. Recorded and mixed by Steve Wright (Wrightway Studios), Jah Works’ latest and greatest effort will continue cement their standing as one of the finest reggae bands to ever come out of the United States.
